Scoobylive 1st place win for James Hanks!!

James has worked for AET Turbos for 15 months but has just recently been put in the driving seat of AET’s modified Subaru STI. At the age of 23 the only racing he has done previously has been on 2 wheels and he has never driven this or any car before on the drag strip or entered a ¼ mile competition before.
James has tried a couple of rounds in the Scooby sprint this year to get used to the car and improve his driving skills and at the last round @ Elvington on Sunday 20th September he decided to have a blast up the drag strip and to his surprise without knowing it until it was announced, managed to get into the ¼ finals in his class. It was nearing the end of the day and the start of the semi finals and because he hadn’t done this before James had 10 minutes to find out the rules and prepare himself. He did his first run and made it into the final round, he then did enough to beat the car next to him to land his 1st ever win, in his first drag competition and what a place to do it at Scoobylive finals!!!! Everybody @ AET Turbos is very pleased and it was extremely well deserved for all the hard work and effort that James has put into preparing the car this year and all the long weekends that he has come to work in his own time to make it all happen, well done James!!!
Ellie Duncan, AET Turbos performance sales manager, also managed to do a very quick time on the handling circuit of 43.6 seconds - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7Xa5xJq2EY Great results all round!!
