Shaun Fennings ScoobyNet Project Car does it again with AET Turbos!!

Spec C has bust the 600bhp figure!!
Always looking to continually "push the boundaries" of what seems the impossible, Shaun Fennings has recently continued development to see what was ultimately possible out of his high compression Tracktive engine coupled together with the AET GT30 standard position (direct bolt on) turbo.

After recently reaching the heady limits of VPower, with recorded runs of 530bhp at the flywheel, Shaun decided to try the addition of Race Fuel to see how this would affect the power output.
Shaun and everyone involved in this car have always stayed away from trying any type of "enhanced" fuel, as the real challenge was always to push the boundaries in pure road spec.
With the dyno figures achieved and the success in the 2009 ScoobySprint Championship to back those figures up, I think we can all say that was proved without doubt.

As always Shaun completed these tests as openly as possible, and first off was a benchmark dyno run with the existing VPower map. This run would show exactly the state of tune of the car as it ran for ScoobySprint and the recent flyhweel dyno runs (530bhp), so any increases gained would be totally transparent.

The car achieved 445bhp / 459lbft at 1.9bar peak on VPower at the HUBS.

Tracktive then performed their magic after the fuel was changed, which resulted in:

527bhp / 533lbft at 1.9bar peak at the HUBS!

That showed a massive gain of 82bhp with Race Fuel!!

This HUB figure relates to a solid 600+bhp at the flywheel (estimated 620+bhp/600+lbft)

Shaun explained "I am over the moon with the results and to think that we thought the initial target, when we first started this project, of 500bhp on VPower was going to be pushing it! The biggest kicker from this is that we ran out of time. Tracktive only increased the ignition, who knows what we could of achieved with more time.... and more boost! As far as I am aware, this is the most anyone in the UK has achieved with a GT30 on a Subaru, by quite some margin." Shaun went on to say "I had to take the car out for a quick spin on this map and all I can say is that it totally blew me away. It was like driving a totally different car, with a new engine. Having the response of the GT30, but with another whack of torque and power..... it was flaming awesome on the road! As always, massive thanks to Tracktive Solutions and of course AET and their never ending power producing GT30!".
