AET Turbos, technical partners of the Project GTST – Fastest Skyline in the world!!
AET Turbos are proud to announce that at the FIA Main Event at Santa Pod (31st May 2010), John Bradshaw's Project GTST (2.8 litre Nissan Skyline) running AET’s turbo set up smashed all records running 7.45 seconds to 187 mph & then backing the run up immediately afterwards with a 7.49 @ 183 mph. In doing so the car became the world’s fastest Skyline beating the previous world record time of time of 7.57 secs & reset the European record books again.
After the event an ecstatic John said "we are all just absolutely delighted & over the moon, this has been a long journey to get to this point with highs & lows along the way but it's just incredible to see the times on the boards". The car has gone from a completely bog standard 240 bhp road legal R33 GTST that John bought in 2005 with an aftermarket set of alloys to the 1400 + bhp snarling beast we have today & there is certainly more to come. Like everyone else John has watched videos of the previous records set by both HKS & Heat Treatments in awe. For John to smash these figures it must be an incredible feeling and it is just brilliant for the UK and European drag racing scene to have a record held by a UK car. not only did John achieve the world record but he had a textbook reaction time of just 0.0022 seconds will be very hard for anyone to beat!!! John's previous times up to now have been consistently progressive – 2006 - 9.9 secs John words say it all – “Well what can i say - just absolutely gobsmacked & after 5 years hard work the old girl decided the time was right” Brams racing haven’t given up there and have vowed to continue to develop the car and really push the new times that have already been set!!! http://www.bramsracing.com/gtst/index10.php Johns cars can also be followed on Facebook via AET Turbos, Abbey Motorsport & John Bradshaws home pages.
2007 - 8.5 secs
2008 - 7.78 secs
2009 - 7.68 secs
2010 (to date) - 7.45 secs @ 187 mph
“I couldn't believe it when mark told me over the radio, had a bit of a girly moment and a tear was in the eye (i blame the methanol) lol. We owe it all to our sponsors especially Abbey Motorsport, Nissan
